Winding
Automatic Filament Winding Technology
Automatic winding is the final stage of the line. The winding station takes up the finished filament under servo tension, fills the spool and fixes the filament end so the spool can be handled without manual taping.
Short answer
Automatic winding replaces manual spool handling at the end of the line. Filament is taken up under controlled tension, spooled to the set diameter, and the filament end is secured automatically — by tape or through the spool threading hole — so the finished spool can go straight to packing.

Control factors to watch

- Spool core inner diameter
- Maximum wound outer diameter
- Fixing method — tape fixing or threading hole
FAQ
Technical questions
What affects winding consistency?
Tension stability, the spool core specification and the diameter being held upstream. If the filament arriving from traction varies, the winding pattern varies with it.
How are tension and spool handling managed?
Winding tension is held by servo control and the spool is handled automatically to the end of the cycle: fill, secure the filament end, release for packing.
